PRESENCE

We tell ourselves stories that are more or less useful and that evolve over time into generally accepted truths through performative speech acts of society. Realities are thus created and often not questioned for a long time. Culture reproduces itself, with the goal of coherence and continuity.

The presence of the individual requires a vigilant deconstruction of the truths thus created in the past, we remain stuck in our prejudices and memories if we immediately reconcile what is happening at the moment with what we already think we know. Deceptive certainties, role models, identity attributions and seemingly unbridgeable opposites are thus preserved.
